At the first ever HWA Lunch & Learn held at the Houston Technology Center, 67 people came to listen to a legal expert from National Constitution Center advise over Legal Issues Wellness Programs.

Over 200 people visited The Houstonian to network and learn about how Houston-area companies of varying industries incentivize wellness programs for their employees.

With over 100 attendees from both the HWA and the Mayor's Wellness Council, the December 2008 Networking Event & Appreciation Breakfast ended 2008 on a high note with lots of vim and vigor to start 2009 off on the right foot. A palpable energy was discernible within this Wellness crowd that will keep the HWA impactful in its upcoming 3rd year.

Having missed the September Networking due to the extraordinary aftermath of Ike, the Members (and Non-Members) of the Houston Wellness Association came out to the beautiful Kirksey Architecture campus to see why Going Green and Doing Good by Doing Wellness have so much in common. Over 130 people attended this event to hear some words from Julie Hendricks about Green Architecture's effect on the well-being of the individual.

Over 150 Attendees visited The Health Museum at our August Event. Jon Iszard and Jonathan H. Lack spoken about The Health Museum and Association's Two-Day Symposium in November.

Over 170 people came out to the Houstonian Hotel to listen to a slew of experts speak about the True Cost of Stress to Employers in the morning and about Smoking Cessation in the afternoon.

Hosted by CIGNA at the Hilton-Americas downtown across the street from the George R. Brown and Discovery Green Park. Braving the torrential rain, over 130 people were able to make it out to our June Networking Event where they heard Gary Earl speak to them about health care disparities in Houston.
